In 2024 Rumatica performed sixteen times for a number of organisations raising over £3000 for charity. Six of those gigs were in December. Performing gave all band members a great deal of pleasure and judging by their reaction a lot of fun and enjoyment for our audiences. Several of the organisations have already re-booked for 2025. Fran embarked on a new career with the NHS so has not been available for a number of functions but will continue to participate where shifts allow. Unfortunately, Jackie left the band at the end of the year due to family commitments and she will be greatly missed. We wish her well.

Many thanks from the band to the ladies of the Great Burstead WI who danced from start to finish at Rumatica’s performance on Thursday 9th January. Seeing our audiences enjoying themselves makes this all worth while. The band’s performance fee was donated to St Luke’s Hospice.

It was an absolute pleasure for Rumatica to entertain the members of the Baddow and Galleywood U3A on Wednesday 18th December at the Millennium Centre. A great crowd who ensured that they all had a fantastic time. Just read some of the feedback received by the organiser, Jean Jacyna, which can be seen on our About page, "What People Are Saying" and from the pictures on the Gallery page. Rumatica’s fee, plus additional contributions made by members, will be donated to Kids Inspire, as requested by this group.
