Two great sets at St John’s church in Billericay yesterday. The event raised £258, 10% is given to 10 orphan children who live with their grandmother in Zimbabwe who are regularly financially supported by the church, the remainder will go to help repair the church roof.

Not one of our songs on this occasion but definitely the dress code for the Buttsbury WI 40th Anniversary celebration last night. Great crowd who wanted to party. £100 was donated by Rumatica to the Essex Air Ambulance, the nominated charity of this WI branch. They didn’t stay seated for long.

Yesterday at The Chantry, Billericay, performing for the Billericay Good Companions, Rumatica’s £100 performance fee was donated to the Basildon Mind charity. This took the band’s fund raising to over £10,000. Special mention to Dick Boddie on drums, who was standing in for the Legend Roy Saint and Martin Mason on the sound desk who balanced out all those inputs to the desk, to give us a perfect sound. A very appreciative audience as always and many thanks to their leader Ken Tout for asking us back again. We love playing there.
